I have decided that I am going to call my magazine 'Lost Moments' because the questionnaire results were tied between 'CXS' and the name I have decided to use. I feel that 'Lost Moments' has more meaning rather than 'CXS' because it suggests that it has captured the moments that people would have otherwise missed out on.
My magazine is going to have 20-25 pages because that is what was most voted. The other choices were 10-15, 15-20, or more. Nobody voted for more pages because I think more than 25 pages would be too much to read and things might end up just being put into the magazine for the sake of taking up some extra space and it wouldn't be consistently interesting and new. However not everyone who answered the questionnaire stated how many pages they would prefer, so I can only assume that they do not mind how many pages and they are happy to go witht he majority vote.
My magazine will cost £2.00 to £2.50 as that was the price that most people wouldn't mind paying for (but other people would have wanted to pay less). If more people would not mind paying more money for a magazine, it means a bigger income from the magazines which can then be invested back into the magazine and making it even better.
The models in my magazines are more dominantly females, which is quite unusual in a indie-rock magazine due to the male dominant indie-rock society. This sort of controversial move in my magazine could make more people interested in the magazine to see how the females are presented or so they can see whether having females present the indie-rock look worked well.

Makeup Photos
Look 1:
The images above show the progress of the eyeshadow that I am considering using for my model. It was a dark silver with a hint of black on the edge of the eyelid. This would be suitable for my genre because it would match the sort of fashion that the people from that genre would wear. The makeup is suitable in contrast with what the model would be wearing.
The model would also be wearing red lipstick to show how she is expressing herself and portraying the fashion of people from this genre. As red lipstick is very bold, it seems as if she is making a statement through her makeup and because in most indie-rock based music or models, females aren't often used, and it's making her more noticed and shows her 'fans' that she isn't afraid or shy to stand out which is partly the image of indie-rock.
Look 2:
These two images are showing a lighter and more shimmery/glittery effect on the eyelid. This makeup (although glittery) is more subtle than the other makeup. This would try to encourage a more natural look for females who are interested in this sort of fashion, as they can still express themselvess through their clothes. However the eyeshadow still shows clearly and it is still obvious that she is wearing makeup.
Which do I Prefer?
Out of both of the makeup tests, I preferred the first look. This is because I just feel that the makeup fits the style of indie-rock a bit more because of the colours and it would make it more obvious and bold in the photos. I think that the first look is the type of makeup I will be using for my actual final photoshoot.
The reason I decided against the second look is because I feel that the colours aren't as bold and interesting. Not only this but although it allows more expression through the actual clothes to happen, I would just prefer to have something more noticeable and something which matches the clothes to a better standard.

What Have I Learnt? -Influences
Girls
Through the research I have done about indie rock magazines I have learnt that girls are not often used as models and are not indie rock singers. This means that the majority of music and magazines made around the focus of indie rock doesn't use girls. This is what makes my magazine different, my magazine uses more girls than it does boy, which is controversial and might increase the amount of people who buy the magazine.I have also found out (through my questionnaire) that people would like to see women in magazines in a less sexual way which has influenced my magazine as I will dress the females in clothes which are very unrevealing.
Mise En Scene
The clothes which I will get the models to wear will be 'hipster' sort of clothes. They will be quite dark and baggy or a little unusual items of clothing. The girls hair will all be down and they will have either wavy or straight hair.Make up will be quite plain with some dark lipstick and eyeshadow. This will add to the effect of the background when I go to a certain location (which is going to have lots of trees in the back ground) and take some pictures of my model, however for my front cover I will have my model against a plain white background.
I will take a before and after picture of the girls to show how they have changed and will ask them to change their clothes as proof that we have thought about what they could wear as well as the makeup.
The boy I am using will have wavy hair and will be wearing black jeans. I will get him to change his top a few times to show the different 'costume changes'.
I found out what sorts of things my models should be wearing through research and I looked at other images to see the sorts of backgrounds the images had and the types of locations I should go and visit to see whether they would match my genre.
In my research I looked up artists of the same genre and I written posts about the artists and I will base my magazine on the artists I researched as they were/are very successful and they have inspired the way my magazine will look.
Questionnaire
The questionnaire has helped me to determine everything about how my magazine will be presented, from the name of the magazine all the way to how many pages it will have. There are other posts which shows all the results of the questionnaire and therefore explains what I will be doing with my magazine:

Conventions of my Magazine
I have looked at a few magazines from the same genre as my magazine and it has influenced how I am going to lay out my magazine because they are real magazines which sell well and I am aspiring to have a big selling magazine so I should lay it out in a way which has already been selling well without being exactly the same.Monday, 12 January 2015
Social Media
The magazine could advertise itself through social media, and get information about celebrities to put in the magazine through social media. For example, the magazine could follow all of the celebrities and see what they have been doing and whether any confrontation or nice words have been exchanged between people.
The magazine could gain more of a fanbase through social media because people could follow the magazines pages on places such as Facebook and Twitter. The magazine could write posts which advertise themselves through revealing that there is an exclusive interview or something exciting and new is in the magazine. People will want to know what it is and they will then buy the magazine to find out.
Before the magazine has actually been made (whether for the first time or just for the next edition), the magazine could get some ideas from the audience of what they would like to see in the magazine. This way they know what the audience want to read about and could include that to satasfy the audience.
The places that I have put my questionnaire are places such as Facebook to get the information and approval needed.

This graph shows how many people chose a colour scheme. There were an even amount of votes for the colour schemes light blue, red, and black. This means I will have to either ask more people for their opinion or make a decision according to which colour scheme I like the most.
Light blue, dark blue, white - 3
Red, white, black - 3
Black, white, grey - 3
Dark purple, yellow, white - 1
I will put £2.00-£2.50 as my magazines price because the majority of people who answered my questionnaire said that they would pay that price for the magazine.
Results and Evaluation
For my music magazine we had to create a questionnaire to see what the audience would prefer in order to allow me to take advice and understand what the audience would like.
Above are the screenshots of answers people gave me on my questionnaire which I posted on Facebook.
On average people think my magazine should be 20-25 pages, although not everyone who answered the questionnaire stated how many pages they thought should be in the magazine.
For the colour scheme it was a wide variety of opinions, so I might have to ask more people for their opinion on the colour scheme to get more opinions and this would also give me a more accurate result as I would have an even bigger group of people answering which means more opinions.
Most people who answered the questionnaire said that they would pay between £2.00-£2.50 for the magazine once it is on the shelf, which means that the price of my magazine would be anywhere in that price range as this is what most people would pay for the magazine.
Most of what I suggested for the content of the magazine was agreed with and people would like to read about it so I will include most of what I suggested. There were no more suggestions of what else I could add into the magazine.
Most answers to the question about de-sexualising women were that the should be seen in a less sexual way meaning that I would therefore make sure my models (who are female) will be dressed in a way which doesn't allow them to be viewed in a sexual way. The clothes they will be wearing will be very conservative.
Audience
My target audience is going to be teenagers and people in their early 20's. I don't have a specific gender who I am going to target as I feel like both boys and girls might have the same interest in music and there isn't a majority of which gender most enjoys the genre of my choice (indie-rock).
The place where the magazine will be sold will be all around the United Kingdom and if the magazine sells well then gradually expand the locations where the magazine is sold to a wider audience.
My audience will most likely shop in places such as 'Urban Outfitters' to try and get the look which their role models wear, which is sort of 'hipster'.

The sorts of hobbies and interests I would expect my audience to have would be riding skateboards and playing electric guitar.
